How long does a gel polish/ Shellac manicure last for?
With cuticle work and full nail preparation, a gel or shellac manicure should last about 2 weeks with proper application and aftercare. We offer an express version of a gel manicure, but if you want that complete 2 week guarantee then we advise going for the full gel (shellac) manicure.
What is a manicure ?
Nails classical manicure consists of a warm hand soak, filing and shaping the free edge of the nails, pushing and clipping (with a cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers) and application of fingernail polish. The more advanced treatments will take longer and vary in treatment methodology and price.
What’s the difference between Acrylic, Gel Powder and UV Gel Nails?
For Acrylic nails the strong resin made of a powder and a liquid mixed together. It’s very hard wearing and we recommend it to people that bite their nails or use their hands a lot.
For Gel Powder Nails the resin is a lot like acrylic and the composition is very similar. However, the finish is more clear compared to acrylic nails and its slight better quality. We’d recommend this to anyone going for a pale/nude colour on their manicured nails.
UV Gel nails on the other hand is a hard gel that will allow you to make your nails longer without damaging your nail bed too much. It’s more flexible than acrylic and gel powder and not as hard wearing but it feels lighter on your hands. This needs to be cured by UV light, hence the name
How can i prevent the nail polish from staining my nails?
Nails often turn yellowish when a strong, pigmented polish is applied. To prevent pigmentation, make sure you put base coat on prior to applying the coloured polish so it acts as a barrier.
Or simply choose for a less potent colour
Can i book more than one treatment at the same time?
Yes. However, our system only allows one booking at a time. Most of our treatments have a drop down add on list so you can click on a specific treatment and have a drop down list to choose from. Where there isn’t a drop then, then take note of the time and duration of your first treatment, checkout your booking and click schedule another appointment. Make sure it follows after your first treatment you booked.
What causes your acrylic or gel nails to lift?
This can happen for many reasons. Acrylics take 24 – 48 hours to fully cure, and a slight knock during that time can cause the acrylics to lift.
Other reasons for lifting include: diseased nail plate, not maintaining regular infills, nicotine, fruit acids such as lemons, oranges, and other citrus fruits, harsh detergents, using a acetone based nail polish remover, medication, stress, misuse of nails, occupation, picking and biting, excessive use of oils and creams, or even just wearing the nail too long can cause lifting.
What is a pedicure?
A pedicure is a cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails, analogous to a manicure. Pedicures are done for cosmetic, therapeutic purposes. They are popular throughout the world and especially among women but has recently grown in popularity by men. Pedicures include care not only for the toenails; dead skin cells are scrubbed off the bottom of the feet using a rough stone. Your foot will then be treated to granular exfoliation, moisturizing, and a massage
What's the difference between tips and sculpture?
Plastic tips are placed on your natural nails and cut and filed to your desired length and shape before applying acrylic or gel.
Nail Sculptures differ on the other hand. Nail forms are placed at the tip of your nails and product is applied according to the desired length. While the product is drying, the nails will be pinched on the sides to give it more of a natural look. After the product has completely dried the nail form will be removed leaving you with a beautiful and natural nail shape. This system leaves you with a more durable set of nails compared to the tip system. However, this does take slightly longer and costs a few pounds more.
Can men have manicures or pedicures?
Absolutely. We’re a unisex brand and all treatments are available to you regardless of gender. We’ve noticed that most of our male clients book in for a classical manicure or classical pedicure without paint
What’s difference between gel nails and shellac nails?
A gel manicure and a Shellac manicure are essentially the same thing: long-lasting polishes cured under UV lamps. The difference is that “gel nails” or “gel manicure” is the generic term for any nails done under a UV lamp which includes shellac, whilst Shellac itself a brand of gel polish by the company Creative Nail Design (CND). It’s comparable to “Henry Hoover” which was so popular that people often call a vacuum cleaner a “Hoover”.
Theresa did a great job on my daughter’s pedi so I went to her and was equally pleased with my pedi. Nice work, Teresa!
They provide amazing service every single time I go.
First time I ever had my nails dipped, one week later and I took this pic and happened to notice how beautiful they still look. The staff was super friendly and the price was reasonable.
This is my new favorite spot. Tried everywhere, a different one every time. My second time here and I will continue to come. They are nice, fast, and their work is good. Recommend!
Pinterest perfection! Had my nails dipped and they did an amazing job. They feel very natural. The atmosphere was inviting and I didn’t feel pressured into a service or a color. Very polite. Highly recommend.
I live in Saint Charles and there were a couple times I was in a rush so I went to another salon and it was a waste of money. I’ve learned it’s worth the drive to chesterfield to see Gina and leave happy.
Love this place! I’ve been here several times and every technician I’ve been to have been professional and did a great job. I’ve gotten pedicures, dip, gel manicures and fills, all we’re 10/10 experience here. This place is busy so I recommend calling for an appointment before coming. They offer quick back massages for manicures which is a great plus and offer a great variety of services.
Hi! My name is Apryl and TiTi has been doing my nails for 15+ years. Her work is immaculate and she is one of the best nail technicians in SoHo which is why I am baffled by your previous experience. I have followed Titi all over STL and sadly I moved to the DMV area to better my life last year and I was devastated she wouldn’t be doing my nails anymore!! I know that may sound ridiculous but when you find someone good, it’s hard for anyone else to live up to those standards.

I see Cathy and she is amazing. She does a great job with both gel and power dip manicures that look very natural for work and also gives wonderful pedicures. She is fast and yet doesn’t compromise quality. Ask for her color suggestions, she always knows what’s trending. Owner is always there and is very good with customers. Never had any issues there.
I didn’t expect it, but that was nice! Then she massaged my hands with lotion instead of me washing then like I always do. I thought it was weird, but it definitely worked!! They have tons of chairs and pedicure chairs and I saw they have an actual menu they show you if you’re getting a pedicure. I will definitely be back for that soon, but I can honestly say that I I think I found “my place”. The place is nice and clean and they are very accommodating.
