FAQs

Why should I use cuticle oil?

Nail plates can get very dehydrated easily, but cuticle oil application is such an easy way to avoid this, leaving beautiful nails! Cuticle oil should not be used as a first-line of defence against dryness, but rather to fix extremely dry, cracked nails. It’s usually of natural, rapidly absorbing vegetable oils; cuticle oil can also contains vitamins.

How long does normal polish take to dry?

When you have a classical manicure at Fancy Nails & Spa, your technician will leave your polish to dry for about 5 minutes before applying a quick-dry spray, which accelerates the drying process. They will then check to see if your manicure still needs drying – it is you’ll have to sit back just a little longer to avoid smudges!

In total, around 10-15 minutes after the last topcoat, your manicure should be touch dry and good to go. Just try to avoid knocking it (easily done by rummaging in your bag!) for about an hour until the polish has fully cured through all the coats.

How to book an appointment online?

Book your appointment by sending a notice to the salon manager’s email. Please mention your name, phone number, and the service(s) required.
We will respond to you and confirm your appointment.

Do you use MMA in your acrylic extensions?

Never! Our Acrylic powders are EMA (Ethyl Methacrylate) and (nails salon name) is rigorously inspected by the local authority annually to ensure we uphold this.
Salons that offer acrylic extensions at cheap prices are often using MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) which is used in the dental industry. MMA bonds to your nails too harshly, leading to some really bad damage to your natural nail – as a chemical MMA was never designed to come into contact with skin and nails – it is too hard to be used for acrylic extensions and can tear the nail from the nail bed easily!

Will acrylic or gel extensions damage my nails?

If you have your extensions professionally applied and professionally maintained and removed by qualified nail technicians, there should only be minimal damage to your nail plate. However, constant acrylic application can make your nail plate weak so we advise a small break in between. Beware of nail technicians who leave your nails with white patches, damage and weakness.
It goes without saying that if you pick at your nails or pull them off yourself, the nail will be badly damaged. Professional technicians like those at Fancy Nails & Spa will use the correct, branded, high quality products to apply and remove your nail extensions

What are cuticles? And which package will include cuticle work?

Cuticles are the small overgrowth of dead skin at the bottom of your nail plate. They join the living tissue to your nail, and protect you from any contaminants getting under your skin.
However, overgrown cuticles are no good! Cuticles should be kept pushed back and tidy to keep your nails looking healthy- short, pushed back cuticles also help you get neat, long lasting polish application and help your nails look longer and more elegant. With standard polish, manicures and pedicures, we advise booking a full manicure and pedicure as oppose to our express treatments. With gel polish, the shellac manicure treatment will do the trick!

Can i put acrylics back on immediately after soaking off the old acrylics?

Yes, it’s fine to re-apply acrylics straight away as natural nails are made up of keratin (protein) so nails don’t breathe. If you have ripped your acrylics off causing the natural nail to thin however, then you might want to wait to harden the nails back up, as the acrylics will just add more stress on top of damaged nails.

Why should i use cuticle oil?

Cuticle oil is used to moisturize the cuticle, skin and nail area. It can protect the cuticle and nail against damage and improve the health and appearance of the cuticles and nails.

Yelp

I love this nail salon it’s the best and they treat you like a Queen!!! I’ve been going here for a few months now and I will not go anywhere else due to the customer service! Yelp

Just completed my appointment at Fancy Nails with Ly. I had looked at many reviews and chose this salon for a pedicure. It was fantastic! Ly is very sweet and attentive and did a great job. The salon is very clean and organized. There is plexiglas between most stations. The ladies are attending to their clients and not talking to each other- they are very professional and polite. My pedicure was $58 plus $10 tip for shellac and I paid for the #3 which was a step up from basic and included extra massage, foot wrap and hot stone massage- highly recommend and I will be b

Yelp

I am looking for a new place to have my nails taken care of and I found it. Fancy Nails is welcoming and clean. Great start. There were 4 of us inclluding my 91 year old mom. The reason I didn’t give a 5 rating was wait time. We had a 1:00 pm appointment and didn’t get started until 1:20. There were other customers who came in after our group and with the managing of all customers, two of our group waited to have their nails done. We ended up leaving 2 hours later.
That being saiid, the manicures and the pedicures were amazing! Care was taken for each service. The quality of the service was superior. The technicians each apologized for the wait time. I was given a gift certificate for my next visit. The choices of services was the best I have ever experienced. I will be back.

Yelp

I’ve had a couple of pedicures here, and they were both good. I like the basics: good massage chairs, good polish selection, pleasant technicians, efficient and quality work, and nice massages. They do a nice job here.

I’ve found my neighborhood nail place: yay!

Update: I’m still coming here every 3 weeks or so. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean. The staff are friendly and work hard, but there is definitely a range of skill levels.

Also, they autoclave any tool they use on your digits. That’s reassuring to see them break open the sterile packages. That alone is worth visiting here. They also use liners on all pedicure tubs.

Yelp

This is a negative review. I am giving 5 stars because I have never had any issues before and I’ve always been happy with the quality. Last week I came in for dip nails and the girl with glasses and chin length hair think her name started with a N. She didn’t do my cuticles it took her over an hour to paint my nails. She filed them way too far down. Usually dip lasts me 2 and a half weeks. It’s peeling off and it hasn’t even been a week. Don’t go to that chick hope my description is good enough. For as much money as this costs it should last more than 5 or 6 days
