FAQs

How to book an appointment online?

Book your appointment by sending a notice to the salon manager’s email. Please mention your name, phone number, and the service(s) required.
We will respond to you and confirm your appointment.

How long does normal polish take to dry?

When you have a classical manicure at Trieu Nails London, your technician will leave your polish to dry for about 5 minutes before applying a quick-dry spray, which accelerates the drying process. They will then check to see if your manicure still needs drying – it is you’ll have to sit back just a little longer to avoid smudges!
In total, around 10-15 minutes after the last topcoat, your manicure should be touch dry and good to go. Just try to avoid knocking it (easily done by rummaging in your bag!) for about an hour until the polish has fully cured through all the coats.

Do you use MMA in your acrylic extensions?

Never! Our Acrylic powders are EMA (Ethyl Methacrylate) and (nails salon name) is rigorously inspected by the local authority annually to ensure we uphold this.
Salons that offer acrylic extensions at cheap prices are often using MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) which is used in the dental industry. MMA bonds to your nails too harshly, leading to some really bad damage to your natural nail – as a chemical MMA was never designed to come into contact with skin and nails – it is too hard to be used for acrylic extensions and can tear the nail from the nail bed easily!

How long does standard polish last for?

Standard nail polish usually lasts up to 5 days and is a great choice for temporary or short one off occasions. If that’s what you’re looking for then we recommend booking a classical manicure. It does take a fair few minutes to dry fully to avoid smudges on your manicure.
If that’s too short of period for you then we recommend booking a shellac (gel) manicure, which is designed to last up to two weeks!

What is an Overlay?

This is when either acrylic or gel is applied over the natural nail without the need of a nail extension.
Ideal for those who want just some slight length and thicker nails

What is a manicure ?

Nails classical manicure consists of a warm hand soak, filing and shaping the free edge of the nails, pushing and clipping (with a cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers) and application of fingernail polish. The more advanced treatments will take longer and vary in treatment methodology and price.

Why should i use cuticle oil?

Cuticle oil is used to moisturize the cuticle, skin and nail area. It can protect the cuticle and nail against damage and improve the health and appearance of the cuticles and nails.
Nail plates can get very dehydrated easily, but cuticle oil application is such an easy way to avoid this, leaving beautiful nails! Cuticle oil should not be used as a first-line of defence against dryness, but rather to fix extremely dry, cracked nails. It’s usually of natural, rapidly absorbing vegetable oils; cuticle oil can also contains vitamins

What causes your acrylic or gel nails to lift?

This can happen for many reasons. Acrylics take 24 – 48 hours to fully cure, and a slight knock during that time can cause the acrylics to lift.
Other reasons for lifting include: diseased nail plate, not maintaining regular infills, nicotine, fruit acids such as lemons, oranges, and other citrus fruits, harsh detergents, using a acetone based nail polish remover, medication, stress, misuse of nails, occupation, picking and biting, excessive use of oils and creams, or even just wearing the nail too long can cause lifting.

What's the difference between tips and sculpture?

Plastic tips are placed on your natural nails and cut and filed to your desired length and shape before applying acrylic or gel.
Nail Sculptures differ on the other hand. Nail forms are placed at the tip of your nails and product is applied according to the desired length. While the product is drying, the nails will be pinched on the sides to give it more of a natural look. After the product has completely dried the nail form will be removed leaving you with a beautiful and natural nail shape. This system leaves you with a more durable set of nails compared to the tip system. However, this does take slightly longer and costs a few pounds more.

Yelp

Nice people and nice equipment as well as interior. It seems they specialize in gel nail polish because the nail technician made it seem that bringing my own polish (non toxic kind) was not common. Which I did all the time in LA, with no issues. I thought it was odd they didn’t use a base coat tho. They are great at adhering to COVID precautions with required masks for all and they have plexiglass dividers. They do take card which is awesome!

Yelp

Today I had a full set of nail and a pedicure done by Linda ay B. More Nails Bar. It was my first time using her services so I was a little anxious but she welcomed me when I opened the door and was able to start my appointment early. Linda was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions about my nails and gave a great pedicure, as well. B. More Nails Bar is a beautifully appointed business, very clean and following all safety measures for Covid-19 and Linda is an EXCEPTIONAL technician, you will not regret supporting this business.

Yelp

This place was able to squeeze me in on a Friday around the holidays. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they basically replicated it perfect. ( I wanted shorter than the picture and a different shade of white). They have good prices and I will be going back as often as I can. Don’t have the most perfect hands/nails but they did a great job

This was the BEST nail salon I have been to in the Treasure Valley! I got a dip manicure and a gel pedicure both were flawless. I had a bad experience the day before at another salon and my manicure for my wedding was atrocious…I almost cried because I thought there was nothing that could be done…low and behold the technician exceeded my expectations. I am so happy and will be returning every chance I get. My wedding day nails are everything I dreamed of.
